In today’s video, we’re comparing the sound difference between old and new valves (also known as Tubes in some territories) when replacing the entire set, and seeing how much difference it can make.
In previous iterations of this video, we looked at super-heavy tones, but this time we’ve also looked at clean and crunch tones with both a Telecaster and a Les Paul, then the heavy tones of the crushing Peavey 6505 (which is the same as a Mk1 5150) both as a double-tracked rhythm part and a TS808-boosted lead part.
