In today’s video, we’re talking about Impulse Responses, and what they are – both in terms of the technical side, and what you can do with them. You can use Impulse Responses (IRs) to create a reverb that sounds exactly like a particular space, or to emulate a guitar amp’s cabinet section – but first, it’s god to understand how it all works so you know what’s involved.
In this tutorial series, this first part looks at the basics of what an IR is, and the concepts around that. The second part of the series will look at how to capture a guitar cab IR, start to finish.
