How new does your computer have to be to record multichannel audio? Not that new!
In this slightly not-so-serious series, we’re going to look at getting old tech up and running and recording decent sounding audio without breaking the bank. This old iMac has a 700MHz PowerPC processor (about on par with a Raspberry Pi mark I but a bit worse) and we had to replace the HDD with a CF card, rip out the DVD drive and replace the shot ram with 1GB (the most this think can hold).
Filmed on a JVC DV camcorder and transferred to Premiere via XSplit. Sorry about the crap quality but it’s retro all the way through!
